2. How does the ADT home security system work?

Once the security system is installed in your home, it is connected to the nationwide network of ADT Customer Monitoring Centers, providing continuous security all day, every day. When an alarm signal is received from your home, an ADT professional immediately notifies you and the police, fire department, or emergency personnel in your area.

One of our representatives will arrange a day and time for your installation. Please be sure you are at home for the scheduled appointment to let the technician into the house.

Since our ADT security system is wireless, we do not have to tear into your floors, walls or ceilings to run wires. The installation is clean and hassle-free!

5. What does the system monitor?

Your wireless ADT security system will provide 24-hour monitoring for: Break-ins, including burglaries and home invasions, and fire and/or smoke. In a medical emergency, you can contact the monitoring center with the push of one button on your keypad or remote. Our trained personnel will then contact the appropriate emergency personnel. Options are available for advanced medical monitoring, carbon monoxide detection and more.

6. What kind of guarantee do you offer?

You’ll receive a Theft Protection Certificate when your system is installed. If you experience property loss as the result of a burglary while your ADT system is in service, you can present the Theft Protection Certificate to ADT, and you are eligible to receive a reimbursement of up to $500 of your homeowner’s insurance deductible. ADT requires that certain conditions must be satisfied.

7. How do I avoid a false alarm?

Some police departments charge for having to respond to multiple false alarms. The ADT system is easy to use and test, which minimizes cases of false alarms. Also, you will be contacted by an ADT professional before the monitoring center contacts your local authorities. If someone answers and confirms that it is a false alarm, no local authorities will be contacted. To avoid false alarms:

Keep your password and account information in a safe place that the whole family can find if the alarm is set off accidentally.
